Position Summary

IAE is inviting applications from qualified Tanzanian candidates to fill two (2) vacancies for the position of ICT Officer II (Programmer). The selected individuals will support various programming, software development, and IT support activities within the institution.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The ICT Officer II (Programmer) will be responsible for:

1. Advising and supporting users in utilizing ICT systems.
2. Analyzing, designing, and developing software applications of moderate complexity.
3. Assisting students and staff with debugging, system design, and programming.
4. Installing application software and operating systems.
5. Installing and configuring network hardware and software.
6. Setting up modems and dial-up networking systems.
7. Managing and maintaining server operating systems.
8. Diagnosing and resolving software/hardware issues.
9. Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in any of the following fields:
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering and Technologies
  • Electronic Science and Communication
  • Information Systems
  • Informatics
  • Software Engineering
  • Systems Management
  • Information Technology
  • Or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

Additional Advantage:
✔️ Knowledge in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Structured Programming will be an added advantage.

Remuneration

Successful candidates will be paid under PGSS 7 salary scale as per government employment policies.
