Position Overview

IAE is currently seeking a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of ICT Officer II – Security. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure, offering technical support, and handling security-related ICT functions.

Key Responsibilities

The ICT Officer will:

1. Provide technical support and advisory services to computer users.
2. Analyze, design, and develop moderately complex software applications.
3. Assist students and staff in debugging, system design, and programming.
4. Install both application software and operating systems.
5. Set up and configure networking hardware and related software.
6. Install modems and configure dial-up networking.
7. Manage and maintain server operating systems and environments.
8. Troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
9. Perform additional ICT-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in any of the following fields:
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Engineering
  • Information Systems
  • Or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Remuneration

The position is aligned with the PGSS 7 salary scale, as per public service regulations.
